80 years ago, on June 6, 1944, That's All, Brother led the main airborne invasion of Normandy. Piloted by Lieutenant-Colonel John Donalson, the aircraft led more than 800 C-47s dropping over 13,000 paratroopers in a battle that changed the course of humanity.
After taking part in Operations Dragoon, Market Garden, Repulse and Varsity, That's All Brother returned to the USA and was sold to the civilian market in 1945.
Over the following decades, the aircraft was sold to numerous owners, losing its historical significance and eventually ending up on the scrap heap. Fortunately, two U.S. Air Force historians discovered that this historic aircraft was in a Wisconsin cemetery. The Commemorative Air Force was able to acquire the plane and, thanks to a large group of donors and volunteers, restore it to flying condition.
"That's All, Brother" was restored to its 1944 livery, and the interior underwent a full historical restoration.
80 years later, an incredible team is working to fly That's All Brother back to the beaches where the legend was born!
Thanks to the incredible trust placed in us by the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Central Texas Wing, we are delighted to offer you this magnificent jacket in tribute to That's All Brother.
Barnstormer donates part of the proceeds from the sale of each jacket to the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Central Texas Wing, to help bring the plane back over Normandy next June 2024.
