The Aero Engine Car collection is a tribute to the ingenuity and madness of a handful of men who, at the beginning of the last century, created demonic hybrid machines between planes and cars to push back the limits in their quest to break new speed records.

Arrow-shaped: powerful and fast - that's what the Benz 200 PS ‘Blitzen-Benz’ looks like. Almost 115 years ago, the designers made the body as aerodynamic as possible, without using a wind tunnel.

It was the first combustion-engined car in the world to break the magic 200 km/h barrier. This record was achieved by factory driver Victor Hémery on 8 November 1909 at the Brooklands circuit.
